Window Vac

After a rainy and snowy cold winter, it is time to start getting ready for the wonders of Spring in March when everything starts with a refresh. Yes, it’s time for the annual Spring Clean. Spring Cleaning is more than just cleaning your home, it is a thorough deep clean where you clean everything – all those nooks and crannies, evict the spiders from their reoccurring homes and making everything clean, fresh and sparkling. That includes all the windows, inside and out! I hate cleaning the windows, but it has just got a lot easier and quicker with the arrival of the Tower Cordless Window Vac!

I have already mentioned that I hate cleaning my windows. Even if I hired a window cleaner, I would still need to do the inside. The thing is, I can never seem to get them completely streak-free, and when the sun shines through, I can see all the streaks and smears. When I received the Tower RVW10 Cordless Window Vac I was actually looking forward to cleaning the windows just to try it out.

Tower are a British-owned brand that have been around for over 100 years, since 1912 to be more accurate. They have air fryers, toasters, kettles, blenders, pots and pans, vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, irons, clothes airers and lots more – housewares for the kitchen, laundry and floorcare.

The Tower Cordless Window Vac is a lightweight handheld vacuum for windows, tiles and glass. In a rose-gold colour, it has a 30 minute battery, 150ml dirty water tank and effortlessly removes excess water off glass and tiles, leaving them with a streak free finish.

In the box:

  • Cordless Window Vacuum with 150ml Water Tank
  • Squeegee
  • Charger
  • Instruction Manual

Before use, the window cleaner will need charging (the handheld cordless electrical one, not the person outside with a bucket of water, sponge and ladder). A charger is supplied, and a full charge takes approximately 3 hours. The charging port is near the base on the back of the window clearer and is covered by rubber cover. When charging, the indicator light will flash.

Assembly of the unit is simple, quick and effortless. The squeegee slots easily into the top of the cleaner and the water tank into the back of the cleaner.

Using the window cleaner is simple. With the dirty water tank in place and the squeegee attached, just spray your windows, glass surfaces, mirrors or tiles, wipe with a clean cloth, switch on the window cleaner by pushing the power button and let the powerful suction remove the dirty water without leaving smudges or marks.

Window Vac

Overall, the Tower Cordless Window Vac is an excellent vac for your windows and other glass or tiled surfaces. It is light to hold and easy to use, just run it down the surface whilst the squeegee pushes the water and the vac sucks it up.

I have cleaned all the windows and glass in doors at home and each time has been quicker than if I do it by hand (as I’m not constantly trying to remove smudges and creating more). The 30 minute battery is more than enough to do the whole house from a single charge.

Whilst it is perfect for removing excess water from the windows when cleaning, it is also great for removing any condensation off the windows in the mornings or water from the tiles after a shower. You can even use it to suck up a spillage if required.

Emptying the dirty water tank is simple, just pull out the rubber stopper and pour the water out. The tank is also removable and opens up into two pieces for easy cleaning.

The Tower Cordless Window Vac is a tool that should be in every cleaning arsenal, and certainly won’t be one of those gadgets that is bought, used once and buried in the kitchen cupboard gadget graveyard.

A fantastic tool for speeding up your spring cleaning this year as well as for everyday use. The results are outstanding, leaving the glass totally streak free and without the effort of buffing the windows clean.
