Astro Bot Phone Controller Tech Holder

Keeping a home neat and tidy can be a constant battle, and it’s not just the cleaning that wears you down. It’s all the tech we have. Modern homes are filled with all sorts of tech with phones, games controllers, television remotes and wireless earbuds among the list of many, and half the time they’re scattered across the sofa, buried under cushions or mysteriously wandering from room to room like they’ve suddenly sprouted legs. Which makes proper storage solutions an essential part of any home setup, but let’s be honest: most of them are dull, purely practical and about as exciting as a beige filing cabinet. Thankfully, Cable Guys has figured out how to make tech organisation fun with their tech holders and I have been using the Astro Bot Phone and Tech Holder, which is proof that tidiness doesn’t have to be boring.

If you’ve played Astro Bot on the PS5, you already know how charming the little robot hero is. But once that gaming session ends, the controller needs to be put away and go somewhere better than the arm of the sofa (of more likely buried between the cushions). Controllers aren’t cheap and leaving them lying around is a guaranteed way to damage them. That’s where this holder earns its keep. Cable Guys has taken Astro’s iconic design and turned it into a genuinely useful accessory that fits perfectly into family homes, gaming setups and anywhere that could use a bit of personality.

The Astro Bot Phone and Tech Holder stands at around 8.5 inches (22cm) in height and is an officially licensed figure. It is built to hold a wide range of tech devices including the PS5 DualSense controller, Xbox controllers, Nintendo Switch controllers, smartphones (iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel – you name it), TV remotes and even wireless earbud cases. It’s not just a decorative figure; it’s a practical, sturdy stand that keeps your tech off the floor, off the sofa and out of harm’s way.

Overall, I love the Astro Bot Phone and Tech Holder for Cable Guys. The sculpt and finish are excellent, Astro’s glossy white armour, bright blue eyes and playful pose look fantastic on a desk with or without holding any devices – mine holds my PS5 controller. It’s instantly recognisable and stays faithful to the on-screen character, adding a fun focal point to any gaming corner or bedroom.

Now despite the cute design, it’s surprisingly solid. The weight is well balanced and the outstretched arms hold devices securely without any wobbling or instability of any kind. The only slightly delicate part is the aerial on top of Astro’s head, but everything else feels robust enough for daily use by both kids and adults – and as it isn’t a toy the aerial should stay put.

I love that it does exactly what it promises. It holds a controller securely and is perfect for propping up my phone for hands‑free scrolling or video watching and gives you a dedicated spot to rest devices while they charge. It isn’t a charger, so won’t charge anything itself, but it does help keep cables and gadgets organised instead of turning your living room into a tech graveyard. And yes, having a proper stand means you’re far less likely to sit on a controller that’s been swallowed by the sofa.

At £29.99, it might initially feel a bit pricey, but the quality and licensing justify it. This isn’t a flimsy novelty item; it’s a well‑made, officially approved piece of kit that looks great and actually does its job. Pick it up and you immediately feel the weight and sturdiness. Use it, and you quickly realise how much tidier your setup becomes.

The Cable Guys Astro Bot Phone and Tech Holder is a fun, functional, family‑friendly accessory that blends collectible charm with everyday practicality. It’s versatile, well‑built and adds a splash of character to any gaming space. Whether you’re buying for yourself, a gamer in the house or someone who loves quirky décor, it’s an easy recommendation – and a brilliant little gift idea too.
