While it is a great piece of emergency survival equipment it does have some negatives. The ends are open to the elements, so you do need to find a good spot to position it for best use, and I think it is probably a bit on the expensive side for what it is – although if it helped you in an emergency situation, you could argue that it is a very small price to pay.
