Candle Lighter

How many times have your burnt your fingers when using a match to light candles or even the barbeque? Maybe the electric ignition switch has died on your cooker and you’re fed up trying to light it with a match or a cigarette lighter. Well there are safer ways to light your candles, barbeques and cookers without the singed eyebrows or burnt fingers. Try an electric candle lighter (arc lighter), they are much more reliable and efficient, safer, and less wasteful that fluid lighters or matches and so simple to use. In fact, they are a spark of innovation.

The USB Rechargeable Electric Candle Lighter is an innovative gadget that has revolutionised the simple act of lighting a candle, a barbeque or gas cooker, turning it into an experience that is both eco-friendly and technologically advanced.

This USB Rechargeable Electric Candle Lighter measures approx. 26.5cm x 1.5cm with a 11cm flexible neck. Unlike matches or a fluid lighter it doesn’t produce a flame so combined with its plasma “arc” and 360° flexible, bendable neck it makes lighting candles, gas cookers and ovens so much easier and safer. And it is reusable as it has an internal USB rechargeable lithium-ion battery. As there is no flame it is also windproof, perfect for using outdoors on barbeques and camping stoves.

It is supplied with a USB charging cable so that you can plug it into your laptop, charger or even your mobile phone to charge it. It takes approximately 60 minutes to fully charge from empty. A full charge will give you 500 ignitions.

It doesn’t take up much space in a kitchen drawer and even has a hanging hook on the base should you want to hang it out of the way.

But why invest in a candle lighter that you have to recharge every now and again? Well there are plenty of reasons. It is safer than a box of matches or fluid lighter, and doesn’t require dangerous lighter fluid. It has a power switch to turn it on/off to reduce accidental ignition and can be used one-handed. It’s wind resistant so can be used indoor and outdoors without blowing out, ensuring successful usage and the long flexible neck means that you can get into hard to reach places without burning your fingers in the process. And the tip isn’t hot after use (although don’t touch the arc when in use, that does get really hot). Plus there is no need to worry about running out of matches when you most need them.

And then there is the protection packed into its body. As it is an electrical device that requires charging it features voltage protection, current protection, high-temperature protection, chip protection, and cut circuit protection. It also stops charging when fully charged and when using it will shut the arc off after 10 seconds so there isn’t anything exposed to the plasma heat for an extended length of time.

Using it is simple. Push the switch up to turn it on (pull back down after use to turn it off) and then press the ignition button. A small “arc” will ignite at the tip of the neck and you can put this onto the candle wick or gas to light it. The neck is extremely flexible so can be bent to whatever position required to access what you need to light.

Overall, this is a perfect way for lighting candles, especially ones in glass jars that have burnt down some. The flexible neck allows you to get to the wick safely and easily. It is also perfect for lighting barbecues, ovens, cooker rings and camping stoves. And it doesn’t even have a smell when using, unlike matches.

The battery life is good with 500 ignitions and only 60 minutes to fully charge. And it has a 5 LED light system on the front to show battery levels.

Unlike fluid lighters, it don’t burn fossil fuel, so is better for the environment.

It is seems quite durable and robust. It doesn’t take up much space for storage and is a very versatile tool.

Perfect for home, garden and camping use.
