When I am at home I drink enough, usually a mixture of tea, water and a small carton of apple juice with dinner. Overall, although pricey at £32.99, I love this bottle and think that it is worth every penny. It is a very well-constructed bottle, comfortable to hold, easy to carry and is a breeze to fill. And the insulation (two stainless steel walls and a copper layer) is superb, really keeping the water nice and cold.
The flexible handle makes it very easy to carry and the handle opening is wide enough that you could attach it to a carabiner clip and clip it onto your backpack.
I have mine in Shadow (a light grey) and it looks sleek and smart but there are plenty of colours to choose from including pink paradise to lilac love and melon mist to lime time. There are even limited edition Batman and Harry Potter versions.
The thing I hate most about water bottles is the cleaning. Hygiene is crucial when it comes to reusable water bottles and the b.box bottle is really easy to keep clean with a brush. When the lid is removed it has a very large opening, easy to get into and clean. The stainless steel straw can be removed and cleaned easily with a straw cleaning brush. And it is dishwasher safe (on the top rack), although it is so quick and easy to clean when emptying or refilling I don’t know why you would bother with the dishwasher.
The b.box insulated flip top bottle has so many positives that makes it an excellent water bottle, but it does have some small negatives. Firstly, it can’t be used with hot drinks or carbonated drinks which for most people isn’t a problem (I only use it for water so it doesn’t bother me). Secondly, it doesn’t come with any external packaging apart from a plastic bag. Now if you are buying off the shelf from a shop that wouldn’t be a problem, ordering online for delivery could be a problem as couriers are not the most careful. Mine arrived in a padded envelope, which in theory should be more than protective enough, but it arrived with two small dents in the body. I felt that for the price of the bottle a cardboard box or sleeve would have given it better protection.
Apart from my niggle regarding the packaging, the b.box 1L Insulated Flip Top Bottle is a top-quality choice for anyone looking to stay hydrated in style. It features superior insulation that really does work (I left if full on the kitchen counter for nearly 2 days and the water inside was still cold).
