Mini Portable Charger

I have the power. Well, the power in my pocket to add some charge to my phone while on the move at least. Which is great as no one likes their phone to run out of charge, or even get close to running out, while out and about going about your daily business. Welcome to the EnergyQC 5000mAh Mini Portable Charger.

Running out of phone battery (or your Vape if you partake) when not near a power socket to charge it can be a right pain. Not just because we can’t make or receive calls and messages, but because a lot of us also use our phones for paying for things in shops, our bus and train tickets are stored on them, monitoring our homes through our security cameras while we out and lots of other functions. So if you own a phone, a must have accessory is a small portable charger / power bank that you can keep in your bag of pocket to give your phone battery a quick boost while out.

Portable charges, aka power banks, can be big, bulky and heavy depending on how much juice you want to have available. But for just a phone top up until you can find somewhere to plug your phone in for a full charge, the EnergyQC Mini Portable Charger is perfect. It is a 5000mAh mini portable charger that neatly fits into your hand, is lightweight and has enough charge to give your phone a top-up or a full charge.

The EnergyQC Mini Portable Charger is a lightweight portable charger that weighs approximately 99g and is available in several colours. It is cylindrical is shape and measures a compact 11×2.7×2.7cm. It is equipped with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery (2.4A output) which depending on your phone will give at least one full charge, and does so quite fast.

In the box:

  • EnergyQC 5000mAh Power Bank
  • USB Cable (USB-A to USB-C)
  • Manual

This portable charger is compact, slim and lightweight and packs power. With its 5000mAh rechargeable battery it will give your phone at least one full charge and can also charge vapes, tablets, smartwatches, lights etc. Its slim cylindrical design makes it very easy and comfortable to hold. It has a minimalistic design with the USB ports on the bottom (USB-C input for charging the power bank and USB-A output for charging other devices) and the power button on the cylinder is surrounded by four petals (the petals indicate battery levels – each petal represents 25%). It also features short circuit / overload protection to ensure safe charging.

Fully charging the power bank takes around 3 hours to fully charge from completely empty. While it is charging, the indicator petal LEDs will blink on and off depending on how much charge it has and go solid when each part is complete (e.g. when charging up to 25% it will blink and go solid when it reaches 25% with the next petal blinking until it reaches 50% etc.). When fully charged all the four petals will be solid white lights. You can see how much charge is remaining in it by pressing the button in the centre of the petals.

How much charge you get from the power bank is going to depend on what you are charging from it. Most people will probably be charging their phone, especially when out and about. It can fully charge an iPhone 13 in 1.5 hours (90 minutes). I was using it with my Samsung Galaxy Note9 and it fully charged it in 2.5 hours (150 minutes) – my phone was still on, just with the screen saver so would have been quicker charging if the phone was switched off. Charging my phone from flat gave me one complete charge out of the EnergyQC portable charger. If you are charging things such as wireless earbuds or headphones, vapes or smartwatches you will get more charges from it.

Mini Portable Charger

Overall, the EnergyQC 5000mAh Mini Portable Charger is an excellent little emergency charger to keep in your bag or pocket. As it is very lightweight and a good size and shape to hold, it is easy and comfortable to use. With enough power to give most phones at least one full charge, it is perfect for topping up your phone battery and other portable devices while out. Its size, shape and weight makes it so convenient to have with you all the time and you won’t even notice you are carrying it around.

When it is not being used, it holds its charge extremely well (I have left it in the drawer for a few weeks and it was still fully charged when I went to use it again).

As an emergency charger it is fantastic, with enough power to more than fully charge your phone and other devices. It is excellent for using when exercising as it can easily be held or slipped into a pocket or armband. And would make a great emergency charger when camping or hiking. Whilst there are more powerful chargers out there (EnergyQC also do them), they are bulkier, heavier as they have larger battery capacities but that makes them not as easy or comfortable to hold. So for convenience and the best portability combined with fast charging this mini portable charger is perfect.
