There are lots of ways to make our homes really stand out in the way we decorate and furnish them. And we all like to have something different from our friends and neighbours in our rooms to give them a small unique and quirky feel. We all have beds, which require bedding, but do we all need to go for plain colours or boring patterns? I know one little boy that is obsessed with transport and travel, especially the tram in Manchester and his new favourite, The London Underground, so I found a rather cool London Underground Duvet Cover and Pillowcase set for his bed (he loves it, and I must admit that I love it too).
The London Underground Duvet Cover and Pillowcase bedding set consists of a double-sided duvet cover and pillowcase. It is available in Single, Double and King sizes. A soft and comfortable polycotton set (50% cotton and 50% polyester). An officially licensed TfL London Underground product it features a modern day London Underground tube map (not the entire map) on one side and on the reverse features roundels of the different tube lines.
I purchased the duvet set in the Single size. The duvet cover measures 200x135cm and the pillow case 50x75cm.
The London Underground Duvet Cover and Pillowcase is a reversible set. It is a white duvet cover and pillowcase with one side having a print of a section of the London Underground tube map and showing the different tube lines and colours. The reverse has a print of the tube line roundels, including the Elizabeth Line. The different colours of the lines and roundels make it a bright a fun duvet set, perfect for train, tube and transport lovers. It uses popper fastening to keep the duvet contained.
Overall, I think that this a bright and funky bedding set. It’s very colourful, looks great on the bed and certainly livens up the room. It is of a good quality, albeit a bit on the thin side. It washes well and hasn’t faded yet, even after a good few washes, and still maintains its vibrant colours and images. And it is a bright, funky and quirky addition to a transport or train lovers bedroom featuring London’s iconic transport system.
It is quite soft to touch and is very comfortable with its blend of cotton and polyester. A functional piece of home décor that certainly brings that small bit of quirkiness into your bedroom.
You don’t have to be a Londoner to bring a slice of London into your home. The London Underground is recognised all over the world.
