I use my laptop on a daily basis, and maybe I am just old fashioned but I really don’t like to use the trackpad on the laptop, I much prefer using a mouse – I find it much easier to manoeuvre and it gives me more precise control over what I am doing. I am also very fussy when it comes to the mouse – I don’t like cheap, lightweight and flimsy ones and they need to feel comfortable in my hand. The Canyon Silent Wireless Mouse MW-12 fits my needs perfectly.
The Canyon Silent Wireless Mouse MW-12 is a dual connection mouse, meaning it can connect to your devices (laptop, tablet etc.) using a 2.4Ghz wireless connection or by Bluetooth. It features an optical sensor with 2400 DPI Resolution, has 6 buttons and a scroll wheel and features a silent click, and yes it is silent! Plus it has a lifespan of at least 3 million clicks and is available in several different colours.
Setting up the mouse is easy. It requires 1xAA battery (which is included) – a panel underneath the mouse slides off and your can insert the battery here. Next to the battery is also the wireless receiver. If you want to use the mouse with a wireless connection, press the button on the base of the mouse select the wireless connection, pull out the receiver and plug it into a USB port on your laptop or desktop PC – it should connect within 3-5 seconds. If you prefer to use it with a Bluetooth connection, leave the wireless receiver in the mouse and using the button select BT1 or BT2 and hold the button for 3 seconds so the blue LED is flashing (pairing mode) and then select the mouse name on your computer.
Once connected, the mouse has a smooth and fast operation. It has buttons on top and the left side – these can be configured how you want them in your mouse settings. It also features adjustable dpi of 800, 1200,1600 and 2400. The top two main button are silent when clicked, the other buttons are not as quiet and do have an audible click.
Overall, I love using the Canyon Silent Wireless Mouse MW-12 – for me, it feels solid and comfortable, fitting in my hand nicely with its ergonomic design. I like the silent clicks. And while it isn’t a heavy mouse (it weighs just 65g), it doesn’t feel too light or flimsy.
Being wireless, it also means they are no cables cluttering up the desk and the wireless connections are stable up to a maximum of 10 metres (about 30ft).
I also love that I can use the mouse on my laptop as well as my tablet with ease (I use the wireless option on the laptop and Bluetooth on my tablet).
Available in different options, the Canyon Silent Wireless Mouse MW-12 adds a bit of colour to any setup, offers excellent value, while the quality and functionality are superb.
