Microfibre Spray Mop

Cleaning, the bane of our lives. But it is something that we all must do, well unless you like living in smelly dirty filth. And it is coming up to that time of year for the annual cleaning event that tops all cleaning events, no not The Cleaning Show (which if you are interested is in Manchester 13-14 March 2024, London 18-20 March 2025), but the annual deep clean that is Spring Cleaning. We all have lots of different products, tools and gadgets to help us keep our homes clean and tidy, but one of my favourites as it is so easy to grab and use is my microfibre spray mop. Unfortunately, the spray function of mine has given up crying all over the floor (well, spraying water) so it was time to get a new one.

I purchased the EXEGO Microfibre Spray Mop, a manual wet and dry mop, for use on hard floor surfaces, (vinyl, laminate, tiles, sealed hardwood and lino).

In the box:

  • Handle
  • Middle Pole
  • Lower Pole
  • Mop Base
  • 440ml Liquid Bottle
  • Scrubber
  • 3x Reusable Microfibre Pads

When the mop arrived, it comes supplied in a box not much longer that a ruler. Some quick assembly is required. This is simple as the poles slot together (and have push buttons if you want to release them), the swivelling mop base clicks onto the assembled pole and the microfibre pad attaches by pressing onto the base. It took less than a minute to assemble.

The assembled mop measures about 120cm, so is a good length to easily and comfortably use for most people. The mop base is also a good size at 39cm wide. When the microfibre pad is attached to the mop it can be used dry to sweep up dust and debris or wet to mop up dirt and detritus from hard floors. The mop comes with a refillable water bottle that attaches to the handle. The bottle just pulls out to be filled, you can add water and your own favourite cleaning solution to the bottle and it just pushes back in securely, staying attached the handle. To use, you just pull the trigger on the handle and spray liquid on the floor to mop and clean.

Microfibre Spray Mop

Overall, this is a good quality lightweight microfibre spray mop that is perfect for my vinyl floors. It works perfectly as a dry mop, sweeping up debris within its path and collecting a lot of it in its microfibre pad as well as a wet mop for cleaning the floor. It comes with 3 pads so you can keep one for dry sweeping, one for wet mopping and one for drying the floor (although you are not spraying copious amounts of liquid so it doesn’t really need much drying).

Obviously the microfibre pads collect lots of dirt and dust. These pads are reusable and washable. The mop even comes supplied with a scrubber/scrapper so that you can manual clean bigger bits of dirt and debris from the pads before throwing them in the washing machine.

The mop is very easy to use and can be used one handed. The easy to pull trigger is near the top of the handle and only requires a small amount of pressure to spray water or cleaning solution in front on the mop base and microfibre pad. The pad is slightly larger than the mop base and gets right up to the skirting boards and in the corners without scratching the floors or furniture. The mop base also features a swivel head so that you can easily turn the mop in a full circle.

This Spray Mop makes sweeping and mopping the floors a quick and simple task (especially with all the rain that we have been having recently). The microfibre pads are quick and simple to change and have excellent dirt, dust and water absorption and the mop itself it comfortable to hold and use with easier access and trigger release.

An excellent cleaning to tool to keep in your cleaning cupboard and perfect for your cleaning needs, large or small – no more mop and bucket of water. Make spring cleaning quicker and easier with a microfibre spray mop.

If you have a hard floor in our home, it is definitely a must for any household.
