I recently gave my spare bedroom an update and decided as well as a spare bedroom I wanted to use the room as a home office as well. After a lot of thinking about what I wanted, first I had to find a desk that I liked, no home office would be complete without this essential piece of furniture. But that led to lots of thinking and searching for what kind of desk that I wanted. I decided I wanted something that was functional but something that would make use of the space better and had plenty of storage. Eventually I opted for the FirFurd L-Shaped Corner Desk with Drawers.
The FirFurd L-Shaped Corner Desk with Drawers was perfect for what I needed. It fit neatly into the corner of the room, had 3 drawers for storage and ample shelf and desktop space. Not only did it have all the space that I needed, but it also looks very stylish with its sleek and elegant white finish, and it is strong and durable.
The desk measures 129cm wide by 104cm deep and 76cm high. It features 3 desk drawers and 5 shelving compartments (with 2 adjustable shelves). It has enough desktop space for everything that you need to be able to work comfortably from and with everything at hand. Plus it has plenty of shelf storage for files, folders, desk, office supplies and other essentials. Perfect for keeping everything clutter free.
This is a flat-packed piece of furniture and arrives in two large boxes. It will need assembling before use and will take a few hours to unpack, read the instructions and assemble it (I love assembling flat-pack furniture, so this time just flew past for me). It is supplied with very detailed instructions and all the parts are numbered (and there are lots of them) but it is easy to assemble.
After spending an evening assembling my new desk. I was extremely happy with it. It fitted in the corner space I had almost perfectly. It is simple, yet elegant looking and has lots of work and storage space (and feels solid).
It has plenty of useable desktop space for my laptop and other desk paraphernalia and with the slight swivel of my desk chair, even more space available. The drawers have plenty of space, with the bottom drawer being deeper than the other two.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this desk. It looks great, simple and understated, with plenty of space to work from and even more to store everything I need from pens and pencils, printer paper, books, files and lots more. Everything is close to hand, without giving a cluttered look or feel.
It does take a time commitment of 2-4 hours to assemble it, depending on how fast you work and if using a manual or electric screwdriver. But it is easy to assemble following the detailed illustrated instructions.
Whilst it has lots of useable space, fitting into the corner in an L-shape seems to take up less space in the room making it a nice size for any room.
It has plenty of space within the drawers, that open easily on runners. There is plenty of shelf storage and 2 of the smaller shelves are adjustable.
As for cleaning, it wipes down easily (although as it is white wood I do use coasters for my cups and glasses just it case it does stain the wood).
I think this is fantastic desk, perfect for any home office, bedroom or study – strong, durable and solid with plenty of space to work from and loads of space to store everything I need – and all close to hand. I wish I had bought it sooner!
