Keeping a working torch in the house and the car is something that everyone should have in case of emergency – especially in the case of a power cut. The Infapower Security Torch is perfect for the job as it more than a light source – it is also an emergency signal and a home / personal security device. It is a torch with a powerful beam with 3 different power settings, a strobe light and a very useful SOS function (it will flash the SOS signal – 3 short flashes, followed by 3 long flashes and finally 3 more short flashes and will then repeat).
Infapower’s F005 Security Torch is a long slim torch, measuring approx. 44cm in length with a diameter of 4cm. It has a powerful 3 watt CREE LED, which has a beam distance of up to 200 metres (approximately 656ft). Perfect for at home in case of power blackouts or even those trips in the dark to put the rubbish outside in the bin, camping or caravanning and keeping in the car for emergencies. It can also be used as home security device if needed in an emergency due to its small baseball bat design and good weight. The torch has an anodised black finish for corrosion protection. It is weatherproof and anti-shock up to 1.5 metres.

Overall, I think this is a great torch. It is a torch that has a decent weight to it (477g), not too light or heavy, and it has an excellent bright beam over an impressive distance. Constructed with durable aluminium it can withstand shocks and drops from 1.5 metres.
It requires 3x AAA batteries (not supplied). These are easy to install or change, the base of the handle (under the rubber grip) unscrews, and the batteries inserted into a battery cage stored in the handle.
The baseball bat design makes it very easy to carry and hold and has a good non-slip rubber handgrip that makes it easy to hold and use. If only has one button on the base of the handle that is easy to use and control the various functions. Press in to turn on or off. When it is on, just tap it (don’t depress it completely) to cycle through the different brightness levels, strobe light and emergency SOS functions.
It is perfect for keeping in the boot of the car, taking with you on camping trips and outdoor leisure activities, taking with you when walking the dog or leaving by the side of the bed for in the case of a power cut or an emergency. Whilst it is a fantastic torch it is also a great security device as the length, look and weight would deter intruders, thieves or muggers and if the need arose, something to be able to defend yourself with as a last resort.
