Alarm Clock

I am trying to reduce clutter and minimize things that I have on my desk, but without getting rid of things that I need. I have recently turned my spare bedroom in a spare bedroom / home office so was a good time to have a clear out and better organisation. Except that not much went out of the room. Time for a rethink. With cables running everywhere and things like the phone charger, desk lamp, alarm clock etc. taking up desk space I wanted to:

  1. Reduce the number of items on the desk
  2. Reduce the number of cables behind the desk
  3. Tidy the cables neatly out of the way
  4. Have less clutter generally

I started with a new L-shaped corner desk which helped a lot but even though I now had more space I wanted less on it. Then I had an idea, my clock and wireless charger were taking up desk space and meant two cables running behind the desk – what if I could combine the two? I did just that. I found a digital alarm clock with built-in wireless charger – not only does in take up a lot less space, but it also means I had removed an item from my desk, and it looks a lot better and less cluttered. Plus, I had also removed another cable and freed up a plug socket behind the desk! And with the aid of a cable tidy management system all the cables are tidied out of the way too (especially as I also changed the desk lamp to a rechargeable battery operated one).

Anyway, back to the alarm clock and wireless charger. This is a digital alarm clock with large bright numbers (when switched off the front is a mirrored panel) on a 6.3 inch LED large display. The numbers are very clear to read. You can set three different alarms and the alarm has a loud 65dB (Min)-75dB (Max) volume level, enough to ensure that you wake up when it goes off. It also has an easy to reach 5 minute snooze button. The clock always has a nice night light around the edge of the display panel which is adjustable for warm or bright light and brightness levels can be changed as well (I love the light) – the light can also be switched off if needed. It also comes with a 15W Fast Wireless Charging that supports all QI wireless charging phones supporting 5w, 7.5w, 10w and 15w adaptive charging. It also features an extra 2A USB port where you can plug in another cable so that you can charge other devices at the same time, devices such as watch, earbuds etc.

In the box:

  • Digital Clock
  • USB Power Cable
  • USB Plug Adapter

Overall, I love this clock and wireless charger. It is easy to set up and adjust times, alarms and the night light. And being able to just put my phone on top and charge it when needed is fantastic. A wonderful bit of technology.

The display is very easy to read and very bright (although the time brightness is not adjustable, you do have the option to turn off the number display). The time can be displayed on 12 or 24 hour format.

The alarms are easy to set and are loud when activated. The alarm volume levels cannot be adjusted.

The night light is excellent and makes a good desk lamp as well – it has warm and bright light (easily selectable with the press of a button) and brightness levels can be adjusted easily to give you the perfect light. The night light can also be easily turned on or off depending on your needs.

Wireless charging is simple and is working well. My phone is in a protective case and charges perfectly when placed on the clock – it can charge phones with up to a 5mm case on them. It also charges my phone fast. When the phone is charging, a green charging symbol is shown on the clock display. When not charging or no phone on the charger, a red symbol is shown on the clock display.

I like that it also features a USB port on the rear so that I can also plug in my watch or wireless earbuds to charge at the same time if needed.

The buttons to control the functions are all easy to reach, a good size and are simple to use.

I love this clock. So far it is all functioning perfectly. I’m not using it as a bedside alarm clock, more of an office desk clock so the number brightness is prefect for me. If using as a bedside alarm clock, I think that the numbers would be too bright and would have to turn off the display at night. I love the night light, which I use on full brightness white light (I’m not a big fan of warm light) as extra lighting on my desk. The wireless charging has been excellent, I just place my phone on top and forget about it, no cables to plug in or unplug (and it even features overcharge protection).

And best of all, it has helped to reduce clutter on my desk and eliminate some cabling behind the desk, making cable management much easier.

A great clock and charger that does what it is supposed to do. Whilst it is perfect for my needs, if I had to make a change it would be adjustable brightness of the number display.
